Miami Shores Florida is a village found to the west of Biscayne Bay and north of the downtown Miami area. It’s actually one of the oldest suburbs in the city even though it’s practically right next door to the downtown area. It’s particularly well known for being the home of the prestigious Barry University and the Miami Country Day School, the latter a private preparatory college school which has received a designation as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.
You’ll be quite surprised by the abundance of Miami Shores real estate and the sheer amount of options available. Two bedroom Miami Shores, three bedrooms, even six bedroom residences are available. These larger homes boast a little more than 4,000 square feet while smaller home have about 1,400 square feet. You can always visit downtown Miami or explore North Bay Village and Miami Beach to the southeast of Miami Shores.
